Hebrew Academy provides children of Torah observant families with academic excellence in both Limudei Kodesh and Secular Studies.

The Foundation supports Hebrew University by supporting projects in the Rothberg International School as well as the School of Engineering and Computer Sciences. A grant to Rothberg was awarded to transform the teaching methods of the Hebrew language ulpan classes through the development of computer technology for second-language teaching. In addition a special program grant aims to link Israelis with international students in order to guarantee that overseas students meet their Israeli colleagues in informal situations and have a chance to develop relationships. Finally, a grant to the highly respected School of Engineering and Computer Sciences ( www.cs.huji.ac.il ) was awarded to improve lab and work conditions incentivizing Israelis working abroad to return to the school. 

 

Modeled on distinguished small colleges in the United States, IDC Herzliya is a non-profit corporate entity which is not subsidized by the government and is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in education and research. Its founders aimed to create an Israeli university for the third millennium – a university where personal achievement goes hand in hand with social responsibility. 

ISEF’s mission is to narrow Israel’s socio-economic gap through higher education for gifted students from disadvantaged backgrounds.  Its unique methodology combines scholarship grants with required community service, as well as training in leadership and social awareness.

The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) is a non-profit research group founded by Steven Emerson in 1995. It is recognized as the world's most comprehensive data center on radical Islamic terrorist groups. For more than a decade, the IPT has investigated the operations, funding, activities and front groups of Islamic terrorist and extremist groups in the United States and around the world.

In operation since 1924, the Technion is the oldest university in Israel. Since its founding, the institute has educated three generations of men and women who have played a key role in laying the country’s infrastructure and establishing its crucial defense and high-tech industries. In the new millennium, Technion’s role at the forefront of the global network of science and technology has never been more vital.

 

The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs is a leading independent research institute specializing in public diplomacy and foreign policy.

The Jerusalem College of Engineering (JCE) is a non-profit organization that is committed to creating well-educated and highly trained professionals in the field of engineering.

Columbia/Barnard Hillel is the catalyst for students to explore and consciously define their Jewish identity. Our quest is to help students, regardless of their origin or destination, find their own interpretation of Jewish values, culture, community and religion by empowering them to explore, learn, and grow intellectually, spiritually and socially.

JPPS-Bialik is a Jewish school, founded and based on a pluralistic vision of Jewish continuity. Our school aims to create a model learning environment where individuals can gain confidence to become productive people within the Quebec, Canadian and global communities.

In 1990 the Foundation identified education as the key to overcoming socio-economic disparity and the path to equal opportunity in Israel. Project Involvement is a response to the need to lengthen the school day and add cultural subjects which enrich the child's cognitive and emotional experiences. Through this program six hours are added to the school week, and subjects such as music, theatre, electronics, environment, photography, yoga, chess and many others are introduced to children who would otherwise have no access to them. Project Involvement is a real partnership between the Ministry of Education, the cities and towns of Israel, the parents, the Foundation, and other partners who have joined in recent years. It is the largest intervention program in Israel today, operating in 113 municipalities, adding 1.4 million hours to 693 elementary schools and 1,600 kindergartens. The project reaches 42,000 kindergarten children and 217,000 children in elementary schools, in total one-fourth of the children in these educational frameworks. The enrichment program is a platform for educational change in each town and city where it exists. Other programs have been built upon this platform, a result of efforts to specialize and respond to critical needs of the educational system. 

Since its inception in 1991, Kolel has established its reputation as a dynamic, pluralistic, egalitarian institution where men and women can engage in Jewish learning which values both traditional and liberal interpretations.

Pearson College UWC is a two-year pre-university school (Grade 12 and Gap Year) for up to 200 students from over 100 countries who live, study and grow together at the edge of the western world. Meytarim is the network for Jewish democratic education. It strives to reduce the religious/secular division in schools and creates a framework in which children from different ideological backgrounds can learn together. As its website explains: The present two-track public school system segregates religious and secular students socially and educationally, and fosters polarization at an early age. Students in the secular public school system (mamlachti) learn practically nothing about their Jewish heritage. Students in the religious public school system (mamlachti dati) seldom confront fundamental questions of modern Jewish identity, including secular Israelihood and non-Orthodox denominations. By the time students from the two main school systems meet, whether in a military, university, or employment setting, there are already negative stereotypes deeply in place. Both tracks all but ignore Jews of the Diaspora.  Schools affiliated with Meytarim foster a pluralistic and democratic environment in which Judaism is studied and practiced with commitment and yet openness. Academic excellence and achievement are fundamental goals of the Meytarim network. Meytarim schools have been accredited by the Ministry of Education and currently enable 2,200 students the opportunity to study sacred texts, democratic values, and live in a pluralistic society which legitimates a variety of forms of Jewish expression. 

MEET is an innovative educational initiative aimed at creating a common professional language between Israeli and Palestinian young leaders. Working together with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), MEET enables its participants to acquire advanced technological and leadership tools while empowering them to create positive social change within their own communities.

MindSet Media and Strategic Consulting is a Jerusalem-based firm offering a wide range of services and expertise. Blending both American and Israeli savvy and sensibilities, MindSet specializes in the political, social and cultural intersection of Israel and the global community, particularly North America. 

7th to 12th grade school in the Misgav region of Israel with over 1400 students in 50 classes. The Mizrachi movement envisioned itself as the spiritual center of the Zionist organization and called for making Eretz Israel the spiritual center of Judaism. True to its mission statement of strengthening the Torah of Israel, Mizrachi Toronto’s greatest pride is its regular Torah lectures and Shabbatonim where Israeli and Diaspora Torah scholars have the opportunity to provide spiritual and religious enrichment for the general community.

Jimmy Bruneau School is a kindergarten to grade 12 school with approximately 430 students, the majority of whom are in grades 7-12. Elementary age students from the community of Edzo also attend the school in a self contained wing. Its unique democratic, holistic and flexible approach encompasses a comprehensive range of programs specially tailored to the needs of each community in which it operates.

 

 

The Foundation has set up the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Saban Center. Itamar Rabinovich is the Visiting Fellow for 2006-2007. He is also the incumbent of the Ettinger Chair of Contemporary Middle Eastern History at Tel Aviv University and has recently completed an eight-year term as the University's President. He has been a member of Tel Aviv University faculty since 1971 and served as Chairman of the Department of Middle Eastern Studies, Director of the Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies, and Dean of Humanities and Rector.  Between 1992 and 1996, Professor Rabinovich was on leave from Tel Aviv University to serve as Israel's Ambassador to the United States and as Chief Negotiator with Syria under the Yitzhak Rabin government. Over the years, Professor Rabinovich has held visiting appointments at Cornell University, University of Pennsylvania, The Woodrow Wilson Center, Harvard, and New York University. He has authored five books on the Modern History and Politics of the Middle East and numerous articles in leading professional journals. He most recently wrote The Brink of Peace and Waging Peace (Princeton University Press) and will soon publish The View from Damascus in the spring of 2008. Professor Rabinovich received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

The Center for Arts Education (CAE) is dedicated to ensuring that New York City Public School students have quality arts learning as an essential part of their K-12 education. Today, CAE is the only organization in New York working through direct service programs in schools; professional development for school leaders, classroom teachers and teaching artists; and active advocacy and public engagement to inform and influence educational and fiscal policies in support of a well-rounded education for all children that includes the arts.

Jewish Education Program (JEP) of Montreal (a division of Centre Chouva Israel) is a non-profit community organization that seeks to heighten Jewish pride and foster a deeper commitment to Judaism.

The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding (FFEU) under the leadership of Rabbi Marc Schneier, president, and Russell Simmons, chairman is a 501 (c ) (3) national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting racial harmony and strengthening inter-group relations.  We are committed to the belief that direct, face-to-face dialogue between ethnic communities is the most effective path towards the reduction of bigotry and the promotion of reconciliation and understanding.

FDD is a non-partisan institution focusing on national security and foreign policy. FDD was founded by a group of former U.S. officials and visionary philanthropists shortly after the attacks of September 11, 2001 to help free nations defend themselves.

 

The Jerusalem Academy High School for Music and Dance is located in the new Younes and Soraya Nazarian Building on the Givat Ram Campus, adjacent to the Academy's main building. The High School, a 6-year lower and upper secondary school, was founded in the late 1960s to instruct talented pupils in music and dance.

The Israel National Museum of Science, Technology & Space – Daniel & Matilde Recanati Center, Israel’s premier institution of informal science education, is dedicated to preserving, perpetuating, popularizing and promoting, the rich cultural heritage of science, enhancing science literacy among Israelis of all ages. Most particularly, it fosters a love of science among Israeli children and youth-- from all backgrounds and geographic locations and cultivates excellence among them. 

The Jewish Theological Seminary of America is a preeminent institution of Jewish higher education that integrates rigorous academic scholarship and teaching with a commitment to strengthening Jewish tradition, Jewish lives, and Jewish communities.

The Reconstructionist Rabbinical College educates leaders, advances scholarship and develops resources for contemporary Jewish life.

Since its founding, the school has defined the concept of the short film as a genre of its own, centered around a story, which aspires to emotionally move the viewer. In its 19 years, the school has put together some of the most advanced curriculum and production systems in the world.

The School of Visual Theater trains artists and professionals in fields ranging in the performing and visual arts.
