Founded in 1956, Tel Aviv University is the largest university in Israel and is a major teaching and research center. The foundation had granted an award to the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University – this award dwelt upon the question of how media impacts upon national decision making. Funds were used to sponsor research, workshops and conferences on this topic.
